Summary of Assistant Project Development Manager

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a competent and keen Assistant Project Development Manager to join the development management team of a well established real state developer based in Bahrain.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Assist the Development Manager in the day to day reporting and progress  
  • Assist the Development Manager with the RFP process for development transactions, e.g., developing the scope of work, selection of external consultants, valuers, market research consultants, legal advisors, tax advisors etc., and prepare the consolidated report on the findings with recommendation for internal approval. 
  • Review and give feedback on design submission
  • Assist the DM in preparing the monthly reports and any other reporting
  • Assist DM in preparing presentations 
  • Ensure efficient communications among peers and subordinates at all times to ensure effective transactions processes are undertaken in a timely and accurate manner 
  • Ensure the document management database is updated regularly with all accurate and relevant information 
  • Coordinate & communicate with other department (sales & marketing, finance ...etc).
  • Monitor and report on contractors & consultants progress
  • Monitor & control project programme.
  • Monitor and control all regulatory requirements.
  • Any other task assigned by the DM as seen necessary to complete the work.

  • Assist in the review of project design, programme and cash-flow.
  • Assist in the management of projects risks.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Solid relevant post graduate experience in development management with either project management or construction management experience in infrastructure or property development projects, preferably in the GCC region 
  • Excellent data compilation / reporting skills 
  • Advanced Software literacy required. Microsoft office, AutoCAD, Photoshop, in-design considered a plus.
  • Good quality business writing skills 
  • Capabilities with creative problem solving ; 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication English language skills.
  • Strong Team work commitment; 

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in architecture/ civil engineering/ project management of land development/ construction management/ a land-related professional discipline
