Project Details

The project portfolio includes the construction of institutional projects (healthcare, education, recreational centres).

The successful Assistant Project Manager candidate will be based at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan but employer offers remote and flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will be working with and reporting to a Senior Project Manager.

Assistant Project Manager is required to join the Project management team immediately.

A competitive salary package is on offer commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities and Duties

The duties and responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager will be to:

  • Assist in development of project plans, schedules and budgets under supervision of the Project Manager
  • Maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, work hours, budgets and expenditures under the supervision of the Project Manager
  • Coordinate and monitor change management processes and workflows
  • Coordinate and attend all required meetings including working groups, design coordination, and governance meetings
  • Prepare meeting packages including agendas, minutes, action logs and decision items
  • Monitor change management protocols throughout the project phases under the direction of the Project Manager
  • Coordinates all required meetings including working groups, design coordination, and all other project logistical requirements
  • Prepare meeting packages including agenda and decision items.
  • Assist in the development of project plans.
  • Ensuring project deadlines are met through clear communication and follow-up on project plans, schedules and action items/
  • Providing administrative support as needed/
  • Undertaking project tasks as required
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative
  • Naturally responsive to internal and external stakeholder requests
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail to produce quality work
  • Strong time management and exceeds deadlines
  • Strong business acumen and financial analysis skills
  • Hold a valid driver's license

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • University Degree or equivalent to any of the following, Construction Project Management, Structural and Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Communications, etc.
