An excellent opportunity to demonstrate your BIM management expertise by joining a cutting edge global architectural and engineering enterprise based in Dubai. Our client is seeking a strategic hire for an exceptional engineer trained in the 3 primary platforms of Architecture/Structure / MEP REVIT, to assist the transition of their UAE offices from Auto CAD 2D to BIM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Be part of the Project Management team in Dubai and liaise with the BIM Manager at their head offices in Canada regularly to become accustomed to their standards in policy and BIM.
• Operate within the multi-discipline divisions of the office when transitioning to BIM.
• Specifically working within the Architecture and Engineering divisions.
• Implement BIM technologies on large scale construction projects to include 4D (scheduling & Manpower) and 5D (cost analysis) using BIM models.
• Identify new business opportunities within existing projects.
• Identify and implement best practices and standards to optimize BIM project delivery.
• Communicate with the Senior BIM Manager (Toronto) requirements for new software tools to optimize workflows and increase projects’ profitability.
• Provide leadership, direction, and feedback to assigned project resources (BIM Engineers/Architects/ Junior BIM Engineers/Architects).
• Develop project specific BIM standards and QA/QC.

Desired Skills and Experience

• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent.
• Extensive BIM transitioning experience in multi-disciplinary companies; architecture and engineering advantageous.
• Competent with following software applications; Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, TEKLA, Microstation, Excel, MS Project and MS Word
• Demonstrate effective written and verbal English language communication skills.
• Ability to use judgement, problem‐solving, self‐starting and ability to prioritize based on relevant factors.
• Ability to motivate staff

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, or equivalent.

Additional Benefits Package and Incentives

40,000 AED – 45,000 AED all in lump sum per month, plus healthcare and remuneration. The company also offers for expatriates, coverage of the first month’s rent whilst settling and sorting more permanent accommodation.
