Civils Senior Quantity Surveyor

An experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is required to lead role on a large scale Civil Engineering project in Hong Kong working with the main contractor.

Due to continued expansion in Hong Kong an international main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on a large scale civil engineering project. You will be site based and will report to the Commercial Manager.

Responsibilities and Duties

•  Take a lead role in all quantity surveying duties
•  Monitoring budgetary cost control and cash-flow projection
•  Procurement and management of subcontracts
•  Producing and updating commercial accounts and records
•  Tracking project progress against programme
•  Formulating claim strategy and records when required
•  Preparation of contractual letters and claim documents
•  Measuring and Pricing of Variations including agreeing final account
•  Attend site and head office meetings when required

Desired Skills and Experience

•  Track record of working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor in Hong Kong
•  Experience of handling large scale civil engineering projects
•  Main contractor experience is preferred 
•  Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese
•  Good I.T. skills.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

•  Degree or Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
•  Chartered professional membership is preferred but not essential
