Client Side Project Manager for precast factory
An excellent opportunity for a client side Project Manager with solid experience in new build, factory and production line set up together with coordination with the relevant rail authorities to manage on behalf of the client, the fast track (18 months) design, construction, installation and commissioning of a pre cast factory based in Birmingham, UK
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage the design brief, detailed design development, coordination of installation works, testing, commissioning & handover / close out on site to the satisfaction of all relevant stakeholders
-Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations
- Review and inspection of materials and equipment to ensure required standards
- Represent company in client, supplier and subcontractor meetings & negotiations
Desired Skills and Experience
- Extensive project delivery and management experience in design & build projects
- From a Construction Management or PM Consultancy background
- MUST have relevant experience in factory / production line set up and connections with the rail industry
- Local industry knowledge and understanding of the approvals system by the relevant authorities is an added advantage
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree in civil engineering, building, construction management or related equivalent
