Head Of Construction

A highly experienced, client facing Head Of Construction to join a dynamic  project management team on a major building development in Sri Lanka.

Project Details

You will be based within the client PMO in Columbo, Sri Lanka.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Reporting to the client, the Head Of Construction will be the client's principal representative on the project and tasked with delivery across the entire lifecyle of the various elements of this major building development, satisfying internal and external stakeholders.
-Development and implementation of project management strategy, structure and plan.
- Manage the performance of the design team and delivery contractors.
- Working closely with the commercial team, manage the project budget and cash flow.
- Ensure timely allocation of project resources 
- Continuously monitor the performance on safety, quality, cost and time to ensure project is on track.
- Liaise with the client for major decision making.
- Implement a risk mitigation plan and assign responsibility for risk management.
- Weekly & monthly presentations
- Evaluating construction progress and issuing monthly report
-Ensure that the quality of the fit-out/finishes are as per the agreed specification/quality standards.

Desired Skills and Experience

-20 years minimum of relevant project management experience
-Solid leadership/organization skills.
-Must have a good experience in fit-out works, MEP and interiors) including for hospitality projects.
-Must have worked predominantly for a PM firm or a Developer, though experience with an international contractor is a plus.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

Degree or equivalent in construction or engineering related field
