MEP Design Manager- Data Centre

One of Asia s top tier building and civil engineering contractors is urgently seeking an MEP Design Manager to lead the design & delivery of a major data centre in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities and Duties

• As a lead member of the Engineering Team, the successful candidate will drive the design development from scheme to construction documentation,
• Work with concept design and development teams
• Perform, review and coordinate all BS disciplines with structure and architecture
• Manage the production of construction issue documentation
• Provide technological input and advice
• Ensure the design development incorporates and in compliance with the design specifications
• Discussing and negotiating with the client, consultant and government authorities for design approval.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Previous expereince in the design and delivery of mega data centres, hospitals or other highly serviced critical facilities
• Demonstrable contractor related experience of Building Services design within a D&B environment
• Excellent knowledge of Local Building Ordinance in Hong Kong
• Familiar with requirements from local statutory bodies and familiar with up-to-date industry practices
• Able to work under pressure and communicate effectively and fluently in English & Cantonese

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering
• Member of Chartered institute
