Responsibilities and Duties
Job duties and responsibilities
- Lead the procurement process with the relevant construction manager and purchasing department
- Manage all the procurement tools management packages
- Act as the contracts manager for the project
- The preparation of subcontractor documents
- The valuation / payment processing with subcontractors and clients
- Subcontractor management
- Management or mentoring of 1 or more junior individuals
Key Tasks and Activities:
- Administer the subcontract procurement process
- Undertake the valuation and final account process
- Provide and monitor cashflow projections
- Provide information for monthly reports
- Manage the resolution of disputes above an agreed level
- Prepare subcontract valuation payments
- Provide feedback on subcontract performance
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders internally and externally
Desired Skills and Experience
- Quantity surveying experience for a Main Contractor is essential
- Capable of managing others alongside an individual workload
- Having strong commercial awareness and a focus on results
- Have appropriate technical, legal and commercial knowledge
- Able to create and maintain strong relationships internally and externally
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
- Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying is desired but not essential
