Senior Quantity Surveyor - Claims

The successful candidate will be joining a reputable contractor involved with large scale civil engineering projects throughout the world. You will be site based working within the commercial team on a large scale project and will assist with claims related issues.

Project Details

Large scale civil engineering project in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities and Duties

- Take a lead role in claims preparation
- Handle interim payment application
- Manage project cost control and valuation of variations
- Review contract documents and handle contract administration
- Work on site through to settlement of final account
- Negotiate with tenders for various contracts
- Help standardise internal documents and procedures
- Manage and supervise junior QS staff

Desired Skills and Experience

- Experience working with a main contractor in Hong Kong
- Civil Engineering project experience is an advantage
- Experience handling claims related issues for a contractor
- Strong communication skills in English and Cantonese
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and analytical skills

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

- Degree Holder in Quantity Surveying/ Engineering or related disciplines
- Professional membership in HKIS/RICS/HKIE/HKICEM/CIOB is an advantage
