Senior Quantity Surveyor

A capable and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor is needed to work on a large scale civil engineering project in Hong Kong. You will be site based working within a large commercial team for a specialist civil engineering contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a landmark project in Hong Kong.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Valuation of Variation 
• Handle Cost estimates
• Handle Subcontract administration from Sub-letting to final account agreement
• Handle insurance claims
• Project post contract administration
• Manage and check all contract arrangements within your area of responsibility to and from the client and subcontractors.
• Report the project financial position including monthly cost value reconciliations and project forecasting to the Commercial Manager
• Assist with the collation and preparation of claims if required
• Identification and control of risks and opportunities

Desired Skills and Experience

• Solid QS experience with contractor in Hong Kong 
• Civil Engineering project experience is preferred
• Experience in both Main Contract and subcontract management
• Experience with identification and valuation of variations
• Fluent in English and Cantonese
• Proficient in MS Office (MS Words, Excel, Power-point, etc.)
• Able to work independently and under pressure

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

• Degree holder or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Professional member of RICS/HKIS is preferred
